We are proud to announce that we recently partnered with Business2Schools (B2S). B2S are a charity providing a sustainable solution to companies wishing to donate furniture, IT equipment etc. by helping connect them to schools who are looking to upgrade systems and furniture. This has the benefit of allowing schools to reserve their budgets for student needs rather than spending on infrastructure.
We are delighted to partner with Edes as our official sponsor. Their commitment to the circular economy and education means that more children will benefit from upgraded classrooms, creating an inspiring and aspirational working environment for every pupil.
“State School technology is replenished on average every 10 years, where a business changes their devices every 3-5 years. This means several years of purposeful life can be re-homed to upgrade the PC’s, Laptops and tablets in schools. Over the last 3 years, B2S have re-homed in the region of £30M of furniture and tech that was replaced in offices and given it new homes in state schools across the UK”.
By donating furniture and technology via the B2S platform we can helps schools upgrade their facilities, provide their pupils and students with a better environment to study and help them learn about sustainability as well as the importance of ethical recycling. Like B2S we believe that “if we help improve the infrastructure in schools, provide them with faster computers and help create a more aspirational environment, our children will be inspired”.
Environmentally it is good practice and ethical. It can be valued as part of your CSR and ESG policies.
