Health and Safety
Committed to health and safety
The safety of our staff, our client’s staff and the public is the highest priority within our organisation.
We are accredited with ISO 9001, CHAS, FORS, Safe Contractor and are certified with UVDB. In addition, we are approved by many of our clients own Health & Safety criteria. We have established processes, procedures and management systems that are tailored towards a proactive ‘zero accidents’ approach whilst minimizing disruption to operational services
Extensive training is provided to our staff enabling them to work safely and effectively, and to ensure that they are competent and confident in the work they carry undertake, thereby protecting our client’s staff, visitors, and other contractors on site. Detailed risk assessments are always conducted, and method statements prepared, prior to the commencement of any activity. These assessments are communicated to our clients and our employees.
Our staff are always made aware of the client site rules regarding Health and Safety, Emergency Instructions, Smoking and welfare arrangements via tool-box-talks and briefings. Details which include work location, access and egress routes, lifts and parking arrangements are all confirmed and re-affirmed in line with the risk assessment and method statement at pre-move meetings and at site induction meetings.
We also undertake regular reviews of risk assessments to identify hazards and existing control measures and prioritize, develop, and complete any corrective actions required to eliminate or reduce risk to an acceptable level.
We actively promote an open attitude to Health and Safety issues, encouraging our staff to identify and immediately report hazards so that we can all maintain a safe working environment.
